2010 - 2011 Texas Legislative season coming up
Written by Administrator
Thursday, 05 August 2010

The Texas 2010 - 2011 legislative season is quickly arriving and HCU has been in contact with various state Representatives and Senators. During the last few months, HCU representatives met face to face with several state legislators to discuss the current herping road ban issue.

The legislators that we spoke with were very sympathetic to our cause and have promised to sponsor legislation on our behalf in both the House and Senate side in the next session. We have donated funds to several legislators and will be working with them closely in the coming months. HCU members are encouraged to contact their own TX representatives and express their concern over the road ban issue and encourage their support during this up coming session. HCU is very hopeful that this ill conceived law will become Texas history by this time next summer. With all of your help, IT WILL.
